Prospective PhD students:

We plan to recruit a PhD student during spring of  2018. Prospective students would either have a background in computational biology/bioinformatics or in protein chemistry/biotechnology. You need to have a taken a substantial amount of math and physics/physical chemistry at University level. The work in the group is in the interface between biology, chemistry, physics and computer science.

Prospective postdocs:

We plan to recruit postdocs in the spring of 2018. One of these will be in the area of computational protein design and requires strong background in programming, an interest in method develop method and interest in protein structure and function. The other position will be in the area of experimental directed evolution and requires a strong background in molecular biology, DNA work and protein chemistry.

Prospective master students:

We are always interested in hearing from highly motivated undergraduates interested in scientifically challenging thesis projects. For a description of possible master thesis projects in the group, click here. These are not necessarily up to date but give a sense of what a student might work with in the lab.

Students interest in computational projects must have an interest in method development and a strong background in programming (python or C++).

Students interested in experimental projects should have a strong background in protein characterization and/or molecular biology.
