Biochemistry and Structural Biology

The Division of Biochemistry and Structural Biology was created in 2010 after the merger of the Department of Biochemistry and the Department of Molecular Biophysics.

The focus of our research is on some major areas of modern biochemistry and molecular biology. These include structure and function of enzyme; membrane protein structure and function; molecular interactions and molecular assemblies; bio-electrochemistry; RNA, DNA. For more information on the different research areas at the Department please visit our research pages.

The Department organizes and runs undergraduate and Master's level courses in Biochemistry and Biochemical techniques. We also host the Masters Program in Molecular Protein Science. Get more information on the courses and on the Masters program.
